Who should use this approach?
You don't need a complicated sales funnel to test a first offer. If you're a consultant, repair business, designer or small service provider, a single opt-in page can help you understand whether visitors want your checklist, quote request or newsletter.
This is a setup guide based on the platform's published documentation; it is not a claim that Askoure Systems has personally benchmarked systeme.io conversion results. Begin with a single measurable outcome: a valid contact who knowingly asked to hear from you.
Build it in five steps
Start a funnel
From your systeme.io dashboard, open Sites → Sales funnels and choose Create. Pick a name that describes the offer. For a basic lead-capture page, select Build an Audience.
Choose your opt-in page
Open the new funnel, select the opt-in step and choose a template. Keep the first version simple: a clear headline, one relevant benefit and a form.
Connect the form
In Edit page, make sure the form contains an Email field. Set its button action to Submit form and choose the next funnel step or the confirmation state.
Write the thank-you page
Tell the visitor what happens next. If you promised a download or reply, explain how and when they will receive it. Avoid making a promise the workflow cannot fulfill.
Test the whole journey
Use a fresh test address you control. Submit the form, confirm the visitor sees the next step, and verify the contact is added and any promised email actually arrives.
An example that makes the offer clear

Five questions to spot repetitive tasks in a small business—and decide what to automate first.
Illustrative layout only. This is not a live email form.
Before you share the page
- The offer is specific: who is the page for and what do they receive?
- The call to action is visible on mobile without confusing distractions.
- An email form actually saves a contact and handles confirmation correctly.
- Any promised follow-up or download is working before promotion.
- You have a privacy notice and ask only for data you need.
If visitors arrive but don't submit the form, test the clarity of the offer before adding more software. If submissions arrive but follow-up emails fail, repair the workflow before increasing traffic.
Free copy-and-test kit
Don't start from a blank page. Download our independent, editable text template for a clear offer, signup-page copy, confirmation copy, and a ten-point quality checklist. It is free to download and does not require your email address.

Copy the example, adjust the promise to match something you can actually deliver, then run the checklist before sharing your page.
Check if your page is ready
Once your funnel is published, use our free ten-point self-audit. It checks message clarity, mobile usability, contact capture, privacy, and measurement—then builds a practical improvement list from your answers.

Free vs paid: when should you upgrade?
Start free unless a specific tested requirement exceeds the free allowance. According to systeme.io's official pricing page (checked 28 October 2026), the Free tier offers up to 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 automation rule and 1 custom domain. The Startup tier lists up to 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 10 automation rules and 3 custom domains. Pricing and eligibility may change; verify at checkout.
What's the lowest plan your actual needs fit?
Enter your expected workload. We check contact, funnel, automation-rule and custom-domain allowances, plus evergreen webinars. This is independent guidance, not a recommendation to buy.
Your stated needs fit these Free-plan limits. Test a working form and follow-up before paying.
USD monthly reference prices, not a checkout quote. Published allowances checked against systeme.io's official plan table on 1 November 2026. Other feature limits, taxes, region and billing terms may change. Your inputs stay in this page; no email or signup required.

Three checks before spending money
- One service, one signup page? Use the Free tier first, test the form and thank-you step, and measure genuine enquiries.
- Already using all available funnels or automation rules? Check the current paid-plan allowance and the cost of the missing feature against your expected usage.
- Need more subscribers or multiple client domains? Compare the official plan limits with your actual contact volume; do not upgrade merely because a tool advertises advanced features.
A free registration is not a paid sale or proof of affiliate earnings. We have no verified customer-conversion case study for this guide.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need paid software to try this?
No paid subscription is required merely to begin with systeme.io's free account. Check your account's current plan limits before relying on a specific feature.
Should I collect every detail from a prospect?
No. Start with the minimum information necessary. An email address may be enough for a basic checklist or follow-up, subject to your consent and privacy notice.
Is an opt-in page the same as a completed sale?
No. A signup measures interest; a paid conversion is a separate result. Track the two separately.
