Who should use this approach?
You don't need a complicated sales funnel to test a first offer. If you're a consultant, repair business, designer or small service provider, a single opt-in page can help you understand whether visitors want your checklist, quote request or newsletter.
This is a setup guide based on the platform's published documentation; it is not a claim that Askoure Systems has personally benchmarked systeme.io conversion results. Begin with a single measurable outcome: a valid contact who knowingly asked to hear from you.
Build it in five steps
Start a funnel
From your systeme.io dashboard, open Sites → Sales funnels and choose Create. Pick a name that describes the offer. For a basic lead-capture page, select Build an Audience.
Choose your opt-in page
Open the new funnel, select the opt-in step and choose a template. Keep the first version simple: a clear headline, one relevant benefit and a form.
Connect the form
In Edit page, make sure the form contains an Email field. Set its button action to Submit form and choose the next funnel step or the confirmation state.
Write the thank-you page
Tell the visitor what happens next. If you promised a download or reply, explain how and when they will receive it. Avoid making a promise the workflow cannot fulfill.
Test the whole journey
Use a fresh test address you control. Submit the form, confirm the visitor sees the next step, and verify the contact is added and any promised email actually arrives.
An example that makes the offer clear

Five questions to spot repetitive tasks in a small business—and decide what to automate first.
Illustrative layout only. This is not a live email form.
Before you share the page
- The offer is specific: who is the page for and what do they receive?
- The call to action is visible on mobile without confusing distractions.
- An email form actually saves a contact and handles confirmation correctly.
- Any promised follow-up or download is working before promotion.
- You have a privacy notice and ask only for data you need.
If visitors arrive but don't submit the form, test the clarity of the offer before adding more software. If submissions arrive but follow-up emails fail, repair the workflow before increasing traffic.

Once your funnel is published, use our free ten-point self-audit. It checks message clarity, mobile usability, contact capture, privacy, and measurement—then builds a practical improvement list from your answers.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need paid software to try this?
No paid subscription is required merely to begin with systeme.io's free account. Check your account's current plan limits before relying on a specific feature.
Should I collect every detail from a prospect?
No. Start with the minimum information necessary. An email address may be enough for a basic checklist or follow-up, subject to your consent and privacy notice.
Is an opt-in page the same as a completed sale?
No. A signup measures interest; a paid conversion is a separate result. Track the two separately.
